Folklore Museum of Apollonia

The museum is located in the main square of Apollonia and it belongs to the Association of the people of Sifnos. It includes exhibits from the traditional life of the island, such as agricultural tools, household items, local costumes, etc. In the museum you will also see a collection of swords and rifles, a collection of old costumes, woodcarvings and trunks, embroidery, household utensils (among them spoons and knives from Constantinople), agricultural utensils, basketry, pottery and beekeeping items and newspaper archives.

The museum was inspired and founded by teacher, writer and folklorist Anthony Troullos.
