Kamares

Kamares village is located 5 km. from Apollonia. It is the port and the largest coastal settlement on the island.

In Kamares there are rooms to let, hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, a private camping site, tourist offices, cafes, the Municipal Information Office, the Port Authority, Customs etc.

On the opposite side of Kamares there is the Church of St. Marina and the homonymous village with rooms to let, hotels, grocery stores, restaurants and cafés.

Between these two areas there is Kamares Beach. This is one of the best sandy beaches of the island with reed beds and sand dunes with sand lilies that bloom in August. The beach is awarded a Blue Flag by the European Union annually as it fulfills the 32 strict criteria of the program (cleanliness, organization, quality of the water of the sea, safety, facilities, etc.)
